By Bruce H. Kramer with Cathy Wurzer
My current in process reading includes this book. I heard Cathy Wurzer and Bruce Kramer’s widow, Ev Emerson speak about it at the Recent St. Paul Senior Worker’s Spring Conference.
In 2010, Bruce Kramer was diagnosed with ALS. He was a Dean at the University of St. Thomas. At the same time, Cathy’s father was diagnosed with dementia. Through a mutual friend Bruce and Cathy met.
Cathy invited Bruce to do a series of interviews about ALS on MPR. This book follows Bruce’s journey with ALS from his perspective and Cathy’s journey with her father’s dementia. While I know how it ends, reading about the journey is fascinating.
